Job description

Avint LLC is seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to support a large-scale, mission-critical federal infrastructure program. This role is part of a high-performing quality organization responsible for ensuring compliance, performance, and continuous improvement across complex engineering, construction, and technology integration projects.

This position supports a government client and will play a key role in implementing and maintaining rigorous quality standards across the full project lifecycle.

The QA/QC Manager is responsible for leading and executing project-level Quality Assurance and Quality Control initiatives. This includes developing and enforcing quality management plans, coordinating inspections, managing documentation, and ensuring all work aligns with contractual and regulatory requirements.

You will partner closely with engineering, construction, and program leadership teams to drive quality outcomes and mitigate risk in secure, high-stakes environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead implementation of the project-specific Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Develop and maintain Quality Control Plans aligned with contract requirements
  • Manage document control, records management, and nonconformance tracking
  • Initiate and oversee Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
  • Establish and execute 3-Phase Quality Control Program (Preparatory, Initial, Follow-up)
  • Conduct and manage inspections, audits, and weekly quality reporting
  • Track and resolve discrepancies, deficiencies, and corrective actions
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure full understanding of scope and quality expectations
  • Review engineering deliverables (drawings, specs, submittals) for compliance
  • Coordinate with third-party inspection and testing agencies
  • Support Operational Risk Management (ORM) activities related to quality
  • Oversee material receipt inspections and verification processes
  • Manage punch lists and project closeout quality activities
  • Drive continuous improvement and quality best practices across the project

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of experience in QA/QC roles supporting construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, inspections, and compliance frameworks
  • Experience with federal or DoD projects in secure environments
  • Ability to interpret and review technical documentation and specifications
