Currently we are looking for the best and brightest to fill an immediate opening for the bottling line team at our Waterbrook Winery in Walla Walla, WA.



Job Description: Quality Control Tech


  • Perform specific duties and responsibilities based on standard operating procedures, good laboratory practices, good manufacturing practices to ensure the consistency and quality of our products.
  • Perform quality control analysis of finished goods, and other materials as required.
  • Is knowledgeable of scientific instrumentation techniques.
  • Follow laboratory standard operating procedures; attention to detail is essential.
  • Complete and maintain all required documentation for procedures, recording work and results.
  • Monitor and ensures compliance with all applicable company policies and procedures.
  • Perform basic and routine analytical on tank samples, finished goods to verify accurate results and consistencies.
  • Procure all supplies needed to perform required duties. Notify lead/supervisor of any issues or needs.
  • Keep other personnel informed as to the status of analysis, lab supplies and equipment usages.
  • Assist with departmental needs and vacancies.
  • Work an 8-Hour, 10-Hour or 12-Hour shifts or required necessary hours to meet business requirements.
  • Able to follow all QC Department’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’S) Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other policies and procedures established by company.
  • Takes initiative to make sound decisions in their work, communicate with operator/line lead of any adjustments that need to be made to bring quality back into specifications.
  • Ensures all tasks for finalization of controlled documents are completed and saved on share drive for easy access.
  • Make a positive contribution to achieving departmental performance targets for safety, product quality and throughput by operating within specified procedures.
  • Ensure that all bottling line documents are completed accurately prior to the day of production.
  • Involve daily communication with management, Quality Control, Maintenance, Warehouse, and all employees necessary in the operations process.
  • Visually inspect products and or operations to ensure quality of products and or work.
  • Safety Awareness, Identify and correct conditions that effect employee safety, uphold safety standards. Notify supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
  • Ensuring compliance to product safety procedures. Report and take corrective actions for product safety and incidents within specified limits.
  • Read, understand, and comply with the SDS sheets.
  • May be asked to perform other duties that are not listed on this job description.


Skills and Requirements:


  • Excellent communication skills
  • 1-2 years manufacturing experience
  • Ability to consistently lift 40-50 pounds
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Work extended hours and weekend when needed
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must work well under minimal supervision
  • Able to cross train with all bottling line functions
