Position Summary
The Compliance Processor provides general support to the department by communicating with taxing jurisdictions, preparing tax payments, and other timely completion of all assigned work in the personal property compliance process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
โข Perform property tax notice and bill entry into PTMS, OneSource, and DMA's internal software PTCA
โข Prepare tax payments on behalf of clients for jurisdictional liabilities by assigned due date
โข Review the missing bills and notices reports and research items not received
โข Preparation of exception reports
โข Contact taxing authorities to request information
โข Prepare funding requests to send to the client in order to receive funds for timely payments
โข Ensure all applicable tax bills and remittances are processed, printed, matched, scanned, and mailed in a timely manner
โข Prepare client bank reconciliations to determine any discrepancies and make calls on any checks outstanding for more than 60 days
โข Breaking out and renaming of scanned documents to be placed in client folders that will be uploaded to DMA's web portal
โข Log certified numbers into PTCA for tax bills
โข Assist team members in addressing client inquires
Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities
โข Assist with filing of extension requests and updating PTCA accordingly
โข Assist Property Tax Assistants during heavy filing deadlines including creating and sealing mailers, and copying/scanning returns, renditions, work papers, etc.
โข Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Qualifications
โข High School diploma or equivalent required
โข 1-3 years office or administrative experience preferred
โข Intermediate level knowledge of Excel and MS Word
โข Familiarity with database entry with high level of attention to detail and accuracy
โข Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to multi-task
โข Organization and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
