Job description

Position Summary:

The 5-Gallon Division Assistant Manager is directly responsible for initiating and coordinating daily operational and administrative functions of the 5-gallon division as directed by the 5-gallon division manager. This role ensures compliance with all DOT regulations and supports all assigned operational, production, and personnel management functions within the division.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Hawaii Driver’s License

  • Forklift Certification

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 3–5 years of warehouse experience

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of 5-gallon bottling equipment and systems

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to consistently lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical labor

  • Proficiency in basic math, reading, writing, and problem-solving

  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment

  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure



Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Production, Cooler, Warehouse, and Maintenance Departments as directed

  • Assist in developing standard operating procedures, performance standards, and recordkeeping systems

  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets for inventory control and reconciliation

  • Collaborate with departments to maintain high operational standards

  • Monitor container movement and truck loading operations

  • Perform physical duties including lifting and operating warehouse equipment

  • Maintain strong communication and leadership with staff

  • Complete operational documentation and reporting requirements

  • Assist in onboarding, training, hiring, and personnel management

  • Support maintenance and operation of bottling and water processing equipment

  • Maintain production, maintenance, and volume records

  • Schedule microbiological finished product testing

  • Assist in managing production department policies and initiatives

  • Organize warehouse layout for efficiency and workflow optimization

  • Monitor inventory levels, outgoing product volume, and staffing needs

  • Ensure safe and efficient use of equipment and materials

  • Maintain compliance with company policies and operational standards

  • Establish procedures to improve operational efficiency

  • Evaluate employee performance and ensure compliance with standards

  • Ensure Division Logistics compliance

  • Track and audit employee monthly free gallon allocations to support loss prevention efforts

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Other Duties and Special Considerations:

  • In the absence of the 5-Gallon Division Manager, assumes responsibility for daily division operations

Mental, Physical and Communication Demands:

  • Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance

  • Ability to follow safety procedures and work collaboratively

  • Ability to understand and execute verbal and written instructions

Working Schedule & Conditions, Equipment Used, and Additional Comments:

Work hours may range from 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday, depending on the assigned shift. Overtime, evening, or weekend work may be required with little or no notice.

Work is performed in warehouse conditions using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, MWC Bay Trucks, tractors, and flatbeds.
