Job description

We are looking for a FORKLIFT OPERATOR to join our Winchester, KY plant.  As a forklift operator with Contech you will contribute to America’s essential infrastructure including drainage systems, pipe, bridges and structures, and stormwater management.  You will work in a team environment with an opportunity to advance quickly in your career with Contech.

About the Role

Responsibilities:

  • Complete pre- and post-shift daily audits and maintain the forklift’s daily safety checklist.
  • Operate forklift to build loads by assembling product into bundles and complete detailed paperwork for each load.
  • Assist with material handling to ensure raw materials and finished goods are stored in the proper location.
  • Prepare lumber for dunnage use, operate saws and nail guns with precision.
  • Regularly fuel and maintain forklift and ensure it is parked in designated areas at the end of each day.
  • Record and turn in production records as required.
  • Keep yard area in a neat and orderly condition by organizing strapping, boards, stringers, and more.

About You

We Require:

  • Prior manufacturing, production, or distribution experience.
  • Certification on Forklift Operation preferred.
  • Ability to operate forklift in accordance with required guidelines.
  • Ability to work outdoors or in open air environment.
  • Great work ethic and impeccable attendance.
