Cake Distribution Associate
Reports to: Cake Room Manager and Central Bakery Manager
Job Profile: Clerk 2, Production-Central Bakery
Business Title: Bakery Production-Central Bakery
Position Summary:
Responsible for distribution: Read and understand computer pass-out sheets, Special Orders and properly distribute product for delivery. Also assist with packaging products to be passed along for delivery to the stores. Must be able to label and package product and check quality (appearance) of product. Follow safe, sanitary food handling policy to prevent contamination and food borne illnesses.
Starting Wage:
$17
Schedule:
Start time: 9am; Monday, Wednesday-Saturday (Sunday and Tuesday Off)
Overtime can be frequent and required.
Schedule may change on production needs and holidays.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
Experience:
No experience required.
Responsibilities:
• Works under close supervision
• Repetitive work that is clearly defined, manual jobs
• Impacts own work
Qualifications:
Basic math and reading skills, ability to follow directions and work in a fast-paced environment. Flexible work schedule, weekend availability, occasional Tuesday, Sunday, and holidays are required.
Physical requirements:
Ability to lift up to 30+ lbs. Read and understands pass-out sheets along with understanding Special Orders. Be able to work independently and with others. Requires constant bending, stretching, pulling/pushing and good eye/hand coordination, repetitive wrist motion.
Other Duties:
Clean work areas, take out trash, mop floors, restock packaging and labels. Varies according to production needs, occasionally may have to work in other production areas.
Environmental Conditions:
Exposed to constant indoor temperatures of 75 degrees or higher, freezer temperatures of 32 degrees or below.
Noise: loud machines. Chemicals: cleaning solutions.
