Description

We are looking for an Agency Executive (Regional Distribution Manager) who will partner closely with the Regional Distribution and Underwriting Teams to develop and manage relationships with key regional brokers and agencies within the West region. This role primarily represents the Middle Markets segment within the Global Risk Solutions (GRS) business unit.

The Agency Executive will collaborate with internal leadership across the organization to maintain the renewal book, add additional lines of business through cross-sell, drive new business opportunities, all while delivering an exceptional experience for our agency/broker partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Distribution Team to build and sustain productive relationships with regional brokers and agencies that drive profitable Middle Markets growth.
  • Understand and clearly articulate the underwriting appetite and business strategy of the GRS Middle Markets segment and represent those capabilities in the marketplace.
  • Align with business segments to develop and execute plans that support profitable premium growth, new business, submissions, and rate and retention targets.
  • Lead cross-sell initiatives that capitalize on regional growth plans and market opportunities to expand penetration across GRS segments.
  • Develop and enhance working relationships with agents/brokers to write and retain business consistent with the organization's risk appetite; partner with regional leadership to create agent/broker strategic business plans that drive targeted profitable growth.
  • Use sales and marketing skills to increase market penetration, identify, and develop new agent/broker opportunities, and drive retention and new business production.
  • Maintain close relations with production underwriters, keeping communication channels clear, ensure alignment and keep executive management informed of areas of concern and/or opportunity.
  • Foster collaboration within the team to deliver exceptional service to brokers and clients.
  • Respond to customer service issues and inquiries with a solutions-oriented approach; coordinate and lead client and agent/broker meetings and presentations.
  • Monitor market and competitor activity, adapting value propositions and selling strategies accordingly.
  • Actively participate in regional agent/broker and industry association meetings and events to represent GRS and develop relationships.
Qualifications
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent usually obtained with 5+ years of insurance and underwriting experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external business partners and foster a culture of effective working relationships
  • Strong understanding of P&C and Specialty insurance products with proven business development/sales skills and the ability to manage through influence and foster trusted relationships
  • Must have the ability to work collaboratively and effectively on a team
