Pay: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $79,700 โ€“ $140,530; for states not referenced above, the salary range will reflect the candidateโ€™s final work location. Final offers consider the scope and responsibilities of the position, candidateโ€™s work experience, education/training, key skills, and market and business factors. POSITION OVERVIEW:
This role is for an Electronics Engineer II, Battery and Power Distribution Design (Circuit Design Engineer) working on the development of a sophisticated, state-of-the-art avionics product in a world-class Integrated Product Development environment. You will work onsite near the Englewood/Littleton space facility on a flexible 9x80 schedule, developing battery and power distribution designs for the Test Missile Kit (TMK) avionics subsystem and supporting world-class avionics system integration and test. RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Develop battery and power distribution designs for the Test Missile Kit (TMK) avionics subsystem. Perform and/or review electrical Worst Case Analysis (WCA) and Electrical Parts Stress Analysis (EPSA). Work on a cross-functional team in the development and integration of world-class avionics systems. Resolve test anomalies and support troubleshooting, including generation, review, and presentation of Product Certification packages and support of system-level testing. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS โ€“ BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education. Experience or coursework in battery systems or power distribution designs. Experience supporting the technical evaluation of design and requirements verification. Experience in different phases of the aerospace hardware development cycle. Experience interacting with peers, management, and government customers, including presentations and written communication. At least 1+ years of professional experience. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; U.S. Citizenship required. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Electrical power supply experience. Battery design experience. Demonstrated communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to peers, management, subcontractors, and customers. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment and to build consensus and effective relationships with team members. Experience with missile flight electronic components and/or power distribution subsystems. Experience with a combination of design, test, operations, and systems engineering disciplines. Experience in schematic capture using Zuken or similar tools. Experience with PSPICE, Saber, or other electronics simulation tools. Demonstrated strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
