Front Desk Receptionist
Reports to: Store Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Department: Retail
Location: 1629 N 195th Ave Suite #101, Buckeye, AZ 85396
Pay Range: $15.50 per hour
Position Summary:
  • The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for creating a positive first impression by providing exceptional customer service while ensuring all guests are checked in accurately and compliantly. This role supports the day-to-day operations of the dispensary by verifying customer information, processing transactions, maintaining compliance with Arizona cannabis regulations, and contributing to a welcoming, organized, and professional retail environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Daily tasks: The exact work you do.
    • Guest Experience: Welcome guests, verify identification and patient status,answer general questions, and create a positive first impression.
    • Customer Check-In: Verify guest eligibility, report patient allotments using the POS system, and direct guests to the appropriate team member for assistance.
    • Compliance: Follow Arizona cannabis regulations and company policies while ensuring accurate patient verification and secure front desk operations.
    • Cash Handling: Process transactions using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system, accurately handle cash payments, and reconcile the cash drawer at the end of each shift.
    • Front Desk Operations: Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and lobby while supporting other departments as business needs require.
  • Goals: The results you must reach.
    • Deliver an exceptional guest experience.
    • Maintain accurate patient check-in and verification.
    • Ensure cash handling accuracy and balanced daily reconciliation.
    • Maintain compliance with Arizona cannabis regulations and company policies.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None

Qualifications:
  • 1+ year of customer service or receptionist experience preferred.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and GoogleSuite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be 21+ and possess (or be able to obtain) an Arizona Facility Agent Card.

Physical Requirements:
  • Sitting, standing, walking, and interacting with guests for long periods of time.

Work Environment:
  • The environment can be loud.
  • Atmosphere & Pace: Fast-paced and guest-focused. Staff must remain organized, professional, and adaptable while managing high guest volume and supporting daily dispensary operations.
