Position Summary

The Dispatcher supports passenger service operations by coordinating wheelchair assistance for airline passengers who require mobility support. This role is critical to ensuring timely service, clear communication, and a seamless experience for both passengers and airline partners.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare daily assignment sheets, tables, and required paperwork for Wheelchair Attendants
  • Schedule and dispatch Wheelchair Attendants to designated locations throughout the shift
  • Utilize a VHF two-way radio for communication
  • Ensure passengers are picked up and dropped off on time according to airline schedules
  • Issue radios, paperwork, and assignments to staff at the start of shifts
  • Maintain regular communication with airline personnel and passengers
  • Monitor passenger flow and advise staff of delays, congestion, weather, or other operational impacts
  • Answer and route incoming calls to appropriate staff
  • Complete and file daily logs and documentation
  • Coordinate assignments to support positive passenger relations
  • Comply with all TSA checkpoint screening requirements and processes
  • Provide additional administrative and operational support as needed

Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
  • Clear and verifiable employment history
  • Ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening and random testing requirements
  • Must be able to pass a background check to obtain an airport badge
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, permanent resident, or possess a valid work authorization
  • Minimum typing speed of 25 WPM
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills (data entry, email, Excel)
  • Ability to communicate clearly via phone and radio
  • Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and various shifts in a 24/7 operation
  • Ability to multitask and make decisions in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications
