As an Event Consultant with Disney Meetings & Events, you will be responsible for selling and consulting on Disney Event Group (DEG) offerings, including Entertainment, Floral & Gifts, Theme Park Events, Theme Park Tickets, Digital Graphics, Photography/Videography, and Transportation services for convention clients. Partnering closely with DEG creative teams, you will help clients bring their vision to life by leveraging Disney's unique event resources to enhance attendee engagement and create memorable meeting experiences. In this role, you will collaborate with Event Services, Resort Sales, and Entertainment Operations teams to develop customized event solutions that meet client objectives. The position requires a strong on-site presence, with approximately 50% of time spent conducting site visits, participating in planning sessions, and supporting clients across Disney resorts and theme park venues.

The Event Consultant will report to the Event Services Director and sits in Lake Buena Vista, FL.

Responsibilities:

  • Create memorable and customized meeting experiences by consulting on and selling Disney Event Group (DEG) offerings, including Entertainment, Floral & Gifts, Theme Park Events, Theme Park Tickets, Digital Graphics, Photography/Videography, and Transportation services.

  • Partner with Resort Sales teams during the sales cycle to showcase DEG products and services for prospective convention and meeting clients.

  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand client objectives, event goals, audience needs, and overall vision.

  • Facilitate and lead site tours of the Disney Creative Studio, delivering engaging presentations and storytelling experiences to prospective and confirmed clients.

  • Participate in planning sessions with Event Services teams to identify and recommend DEG experience enhancements that support client goals.

  • Host and present during site inspections, planning meetings, and client engagement events, serving as a knowledgeable ambassador for Disney Event Group offerings.

  • Act as a liaison between clients and DEG partners, ensuring clear communication, alignment of expectations, and seamless execution of event enhancements.

  • Develop contracts, and supporting documentation to secure and support event business.

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to identify opportunities, solve challenges, and deliver creative event solutions that exceed client expectations.

  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging event technologies, and innovative meeting experiences to provide relevant recommendations to clients and partners.

  • Maintain knowledge of applicable fire marshal requirements, venue guidelines, and operational considerations that may impact event planning and execution.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in entertainment, events, or similar presentation-driven, client-facing roles, with the ability to confidently engage audiences and consultatively sell experience-based offerings.

  • Knowledge of the conventions, meetings, events, hospitality, or entertainment industries.

  • Experience managing multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions and identify opportunities to enhance Guest and Client experiences.

  • Strong Guest Service Orientation with a proven ability to build relationships and deliver exceptional client experiences.

  • Effective negotiation, influencing, and consultative selling skills.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, Guests, and internal partners.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other business technologies in a Windows-based environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in sales, event planning, entertainment, or a related client-facing role.

  • Experience preparing proposals, contracts, presentations, or other client-facing business documentation.

  • Knowledge of the entertainment industry and experience incorporating entertainment offerings into meetings, events, or client experiences.

  • Understanding of Event Services operations and the planning processes associated with conventions, meetings, and special events.

  • Familiarity with convention resort meeting space, event venues, and unique event locations within a large-scale hospitality or entertainment environment.

  • Experience developing, reviewing, and managing client contracts and event documentation.

  • Proficiency with Momentus Software Systems or similar event management, sales, or hospitality technology platforms.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Entertainment Management, Event Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field or equivalent work experience.

The hiring range for this position in Lake Buena Vista, FL is $68,600.00-$91,900.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
