Job Description:

Disney's Direct to Consumer team oversees the Hulu and Disney+ streaming businesses within Disney Entertainment helping to bring The Walt Disney Company's best-in-class storytelling to fans and families everywhere.

The DTC Strategy team supports DTC leadership in driving profitable growth and innovation by collaborating with stakeholders across the business to provide market intelligence, identify opportunities, and deliver actionable strategies and business plans. The team's activities and accomplishments have contributed to the growth and success of the DTC business. Examples of work the group has led recently include:

  • Developing long-term financial plans and international expansion plans for TWDC's suite of direct-to-consumer services (Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, Disney+ Hotstar, Star+)
  • Defining global content investment strategies for Disney+ and Hulu
  • Assessing potential partnerships for our direct-to-consumer services
  • Creating materials to lay out the business's strategy for the investor community.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as project team leader for a variety of strategic projects and initiatives
  • Work with senior business unit executives to support the strategic development process
  • Assess and analyze critical media and entertainment trends worldwide
  • Define and analyze critical new business development opportunities and growth strategies for the Segment and create business plans for new business ventures
  • Create and analyze long range plans

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience and proven track record with a premier management consultancy, global investment bank, or corporate strategy role at a media or technology company
  • Enthusiasm for media, technology and branded consumer products & experiences
  • Strong analytical capabilities and financial modeling skills
  • Familiarity with working in or with large organizations
  • Experience leading project teams

Preferred Education

  • MBA from a top graduate business school (or equivalent experience)
The hiring range for this position Los Angeles is $126,800.00 - $170,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
