Job description

Dishwasher – Part Time

Spice n Vybe is looking for a Dishwasher to join our kitchen team and help keep our restaurant clean and running smoothly. If you work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment and want to be part of the behind-the-scenes operations that make great service possible, we'd like to meet you.
Note: All dishes are washed manually by hand — we do not have a commercial dishwasher in the kitchen.
Hours

  • Friday: 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM
  • Saturday: 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM
  • Sunday: 2:00 PM – 9:30 PM
  • Additional hours may be available.
Responsibilities

  • Collect used dishes, plates, and utensils from the kitchen and dining areas (glasses are handled by front-of-house staff)
  • Scrape and pre-rinse dishes, then wash by hand
  • Stack and store clean dishes, plates, and equipment in their proper places
  • Set up workstations before meal prep begins
  • Keep enough clean dishware available during peak hours
  • Sweep and mop floors; sanitize the kitchen area
  • Take out garbage regularly
  • Monitor cleaning supply levels (detergents, etc.) and reorder as needed
  • Assist with overall restaurant cleanliness
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines
  • Participate in team meetings and other cleaning duties as assigned
Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Dishwasher or Wait Staff
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Attention to detail and knowledge of sanitation rules
  • Good time management and ability to follow instructions
  • Available to work shifts, evenings, and weekends
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods, repeated bending, hand-washing dishes throughout the shift)
  • High school diploma is a plus
