Job description

Estimated Starting Salary Range: USD $56,850.00/Yr. - USD $94,750.00/Yr. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

The Material Management Specialist will be a member of the Carry-on Special Technologies Engineering and Integration (STEI) Logistics team, focusing primarily on all aspects of material procurement, handling and management. 

  • Managing and maintaining inventory accuracy using customer directed supply systems, conducting regular wall-to-wall inventories, and performing discrepancy analysis
  • Shipping, receiving, inventory, and requesting fulfillment of electronic/electrical components
  • Serving as the onsite point of contact for material requests
  • Reviewing, analyzing and executing purchase requisitions with our manufacturing and planning teams to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner
  • Creating and issuing purchase orders to suppliers and manage modifications to purchase orders
  • Reviewing and performing thorough due diligence on purchase requisitions to ensure TAA compliance on all purchases

  • Two years of full-time professional experience as a logistician
  • Two years of full-time professional experience with government procurements
  • Required specialized experience:
    • Two years of full-time professional experience in Navy Integrated Logistics Support and System Life-Cycle support areas of the DoD/Navy Integrated Logistics Support System

  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS) preferred, not required
  • Government Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC) Program
