Job description

Ibotta is seeking a Principal Learning Consultant to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. The Principal Learning Consultant designs how Ibotta builds leadership capability and then owns the execution. The work spans manager development, Director+ programs, leadership assessment, and the facilitation work that makes all of it land. This role reports to the SVP of Talent Management and partners closely with HRBPs and senior business leaders.

This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States.

Not based in Denver? We will offer a relocation bonus to help make your move to the Mile High City a smooth one.

What You Will Do
  • Design and run Ibotta's leadership development strategy alongside the SVP of Talent Management; including cohort programs, leadership intensives, and ongoing skill-building tied to Ibotta's leadership behaviors.

  • Lead offsites, team effectiveness sessions, and leadership cohorts with managers through executive audiences. This role does not hand off facilitation.

  • Select and administer 360 Feedback, DiSC, or comparable instruments and coach leaders through the results.

  • Work with HRBPs to identify leadership gaps and build targeted plans that accelerate readiness for key talent.

  • When HRBPs encounter complex team dynamics or organizational questions, this role brings the expertise to help them think it through.

  • Design programs that work across modalities (instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, AI-enabled) for a hybrid workforce of approximately 1,000 employees.

  • Manage vendor relationships and LMS operations.

What We Are Looking For
  • 8+ years of experience in learning and development, with at least 3 years focused on manager and senior leader populations

  • Previous people management experience required, with demonstrated success leading, coaching, and developing employees. While this role does not have direct reports, firsthand management experience is essential to effectively facilitate leadership development and build credibility with managers and senior leaders.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred

  • Proven ability to design programs and facilitate them personally, not by delegating to others

  • Experience operating as an OD practitioner or internal consultant, not just a program designer

  • Skilled with DiSC, 360 Feedback, or comparable tools; experience coaching leaders through results required

  • Clear, direct communicator who earns credibility with senior leaders quickly

  • Comfortable working independently from strategy through execution at a company where the path sometimes has to be created

  • Familiarity with LMS platforms and eLearning tools (Articulate, Captivate, or equivalent)
