Job description

Attorney - Creditors' Rights
An established firm based in Orlando, Florida with over 30+ years in practice is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3+ years of Creditors' Rights experience to join their team remotely. 
 
This role involves handling foreclosure litigation, title matters, and financial services cases, including default servicing, compliance review, and complex title curative work, while working closely with attorneys and operational teams across multiple offices.

Qualifications
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
Active membership in good standing with the Florida State Bar
At least 3 years of experience handling foreclosure, title, and or financial services matters
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local laws impacting Florida default practice
Ability to analyze case law and provide practical legal recommendations
Experience managing a portfolio of files independently
Proficiency with MS Office and internet-based legal research tools
Familiarity with case and document management systems including client platforms such as BKFS, Tempo, and Vendorscape
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
 
Responsibilities
Review foreclosure and default servicing documentation to ensure compliance with state and federal law
Draft, review, and edit pleadings and case-related documents
Evaluate files, provide legal opinions, and resolve file-level legal and compliance issues
Review loan documents and title reports, identify title defects, and recommend curative actions
Cure simple and complex title issues through litigation and non-litigated means
Create and review reports, correspondence, and client communications
Advise clients on legal and procedural issues related to individual files
Independently manage and advance a diverse caseload while monitoring deadlines and dockets
Represent clients in virtual and in-person hearings as required
