Job description

Some of what you will do:

Reporting to the Sr Director Pricing, the Pricing Program Manager will provide financial analysis, tracking, and consultation to the Merchandising team in order to maximize both vendor rebates and deviated cost claims. This individual will plan the direction and strategy of the cost claims process in order to achieve company designated targets. Analysis of process improvements, cost leakage and growth opportunities are expected and required in the position.

Specifically, You Will:

  • Responsible for monthly vendor rebate reporting, as well as performance against budget and forecast, vendor rebate billings and collections
  • Profit & Loss cost claim management, forecasting and performance vs. budget analysis
  • Leads the billing and reconciliation of cost claims with finance, vendors and merchandising teams
  • Provides analytical insight and recommendations to Category Managers for vendor negotiations, rebate targets and over and above opportunities
  • Owns the end-to-end deviated cost claim process 
  • Responsible for incremental cost claim growth through vendor and sales lead initiatives
  • Manages and improves the internal cost claims tool to enhance claim accuracy and profit management
  • Develops custom reporting for internal and external vendor requests
  • Provides coaching to a team of analysts to ensure Service Legal Agreements and Key Performance Indexes are achieved
  • Collaboration with merchandising, marketing, finance and sales on a daily basis
  • Acts as a liaison between sales, vendors and merchandising for the facilitation of key supplier program initiatives

Some of what you need:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma with a focus on accounting, finance or business required
  • 5 + years in a merchandise or financial management role
  • 5 + years in a people management role
  • The Candidate must have a proven track record working efficiently in a fast-paced environment and be able to achieve multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • The Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications as this position requires a heavy dependency on accelerated Excel skills. Knowledge of Toad reporting tool an asset.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills a must.  

Physical demands/working conditions:

Office environment - Hybrid, with 4 days onsite in Richmond Hill, subject to the hybrid policy.
