Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Cass Co. Adult Services

Location: Logansport, IN, USA
Hourly Rate: $17.18 - $19.00 (including a $1.82 weekend shift differential)

Job Summary:
Are you passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities? Join Cardinal Services as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) and help individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities enhance their socialization and independent living skills. DSPs play a crucial role in assisting individuals to become active participants in their communities by leveraging their strengths, interests, and abilities. This position involves providing support in various settings, which may include personal care, daily living activities, job coaching, skill development, advocacy, and communication assistance, all aimed at helping individuals achieve their personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist individuals with daily living skills such as budgeting, cooking, and personal hygiene.
  • Support individuals in participating in activities at home and within the community.
  • Implement and document program plans as directed by the Residential or Community Living Manager.

Qualifications:

  • A genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
