About the Role:
Merging Happiness & Inclusion Inc. is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Staff member to join our team in Mt. Juliet, TN. In this rewarding role, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing personalized care and support. If you're passionate about empowering others and fostering inclusion, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
  • Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
  • Transport and accompany clients to community activities, and social outings
  • Promote independence, dignity, and inclusion in all daily interactions
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and care team members
  • Respond appropriately to behavioral challenges using approved support strategies
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services preferred
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach
  • Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification and complete required DSP training
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
