Server Assistant - Full Time

Join our dynamic team at the Sheraton Westport Plaza Hotel St. Louis as a Server Assistant! In this vibrant and fast-paced environment, you will play a crucial role in supporting our front-of-house operations and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests. If you thrive in a hospitality setting and enjoy working collaboratively, this position is perfect for you.
Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service
    • Run guest room halls and housekeeping closets for dirty bar glassware, plates, silverware, and room service trays.
    • Assist the bartender with refilling non-alcoholic beverages at the tables, including water, iced tea, coffee, and juices.
  • Food & Beverage Operations
    • Expedite all food orders from the kitchen to the bar, ensuring to take completed food tickets off the chit line.
    • Pre-bus dirty plates at the bar tables after guests have finished their courses.
    • Return all dirty silverware to the bar for washing and dirty plates to the kitchen.
  • Bar Support
    • Assist with washing and putting away all bar glassware.
    • Clean and wipe down bar tables after guests leave.
    • Keep the bar floor swept and clean throughout your shift.
    • Assist with cutting fruit and rolling silverware as needed.
  • Kitchen Operations
    • Keep the kitchen line stocked with essential items, including ketchup, ramekins, crackers, silverware, napkins, and condiments.
    • Take dirty dish cart to the dish station and return with an empty cart.

Requirements
  • Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Schedule
Full-time availability required, with shifts that may include evenings and weekends.
