Summary
This skilled position is responsible for safely and efficiently diagnosing, adjusting, and repairing plant equipment such as stone crushers, screens, and conveyors. The role also includes operating various types of heavy equipment, including off-road haul trucks, water trucks, quarry trucks, and stock trucks. Training will be provided across multiple areas of the aggregate production facility, offering strong opportunities for growth and advancement.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, dismantle, repair, and reassemble heavy plant components using hoists, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Inspect and operate machinery or heavy equipment to identify defects or performance issues
  • Perform routine maintenance, including lubrication, oil and filter changes, and equipment cleaning
  • Replace damaged or worn parts and verify proper function through testing and calibration
  • Maintain strict adherence to all safety regulations, including OSHA and MSHA requirements, and wear appropriate PPE
  • Follow company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Manual
  • Load, move, and transport materials such as dirt, rock, and equipment using trucks, tractors, cranes, shovels, graders, or related machinery
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
  • Valid driver's license required
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with heavy equipment strongly beneficial
Physical Requirements
  • Operate 40-, 50-, or 60-ton trucks, articulated stock trucks, or water trucks for extended periods
  • Frequently crawl, kneel, bend, and reach overhead
  • Climb vertical ladders to access equipment
  • Occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions
