Target's distinctive brand love is infused throughout its many physical locations by the Properties teams. We have a direct and positive impact on the real estate, design, construction and maintenance of our stores, distribution centers and headquarters. Are you ready to help strategically grow Target's brand through leading-edge design, development, construction and preservation? Can you effectively balance the efficiencies of a large-design build company with the unique challenges and innovative solutions required by individual sites? Then take your place on one of our Properties teams, and help us make the most of Target's physical assets, both in the U.S. and overseas.
A role in Store Design means leading complex projects and design initiatives that bring Target's brand to life through innovative, scalable store environments. You'll partner across Properties, enterprise business teams, and external consultants to plan, coordinate, and implement design solutions that support the guest experience, operational excellence, and enterprise growth. Through effective project leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement, you'll help deliver a diverse portfolio of work that advances Store Design's strategic priorities.
As a Senior Program Manager, you will lead a diverse portfolio of partner requests, projects, and design initiatives that support the evolution of Target's physical store environment. You will independently manage multiple concurrent initiatives while balancing priorities, resources, schedules, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations to successfully deliver business objectives.
You will develop project plans, schedules, milestones, communication strategies, success metrics, and resource plans while coordinating cross-functional teams through all phases of project execution. You'll proactively identify risks, resolve issues, manage dependencies, and facilitate decision-making to ensure successful project delivery.
Working across Architecture, Construction, Property Management, Real Estate, Engineering, Merchandising, Product, Store Operations, Technology, Finance, and external partners, you'll build trusted relationships that drive alignment, influence decisions, and remove barriers to execution. You'll communicate project status, recommendations, risks, and key milestones through clear, concise, and executive-ready communications.
In this role, you'll also support continuous evolution of models, prototypes, innovation programs, and design criteria. You'll facilitate collaboration between design and technical teams to translate business objectives into executable implementation plans while ensuring design deliverables are clearly defined, aligned with partner expectations.
Finally, you'll support implementation of new technologies, digital capabilities, and operating models that improve design delivery. By staying informed on retail, design, and industry trends, you'll identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience, improve team effectiveness, and champion a culture of continuous improvement across Store Design.
Core responsibilities of this job are described within this job description. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.
