Director of Warehouse Operations Atlanta, GAWe are seeking a Director of Warehouse Operations for a large food manufacturing company with a highly automated distribution operation in the Atlanta area. This role will lead a 24/7 warehouse operation supporting the movement of finished food products from manufacturing through distribution, with a major focus on Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS), high-bay crane systems, WMS execution, inventory accuracy, food safety compliance, and outbound customer fulfillment.This is not a traditional warehouse role. Candidates must have hands-on leadership experience in a high-volume food manufacturing or food distribution environment utilizing ASRS crane systems. The successful candidate will understand how to lead people, systems, automation, inventory, and product flow in a fast-paced, audit-ready food operation.Responsibilities Lead a 24/7 warehouse operation supporting a high-volume food manufacturing environment Oversee exempt and non-exempt warehouse leadership teams across multiple shifts Own operational performance of ASRS crane systems, automated storage solutions, WMS, ERP, and related warehouse technologies Partner with Manufacturing, Transportation, Maintenance, Engineering, IT, Quality, Food Safety, and Supply Chain teams to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient product flow Drive inventory accuracy, FIFO rotation, order fulfillment, dock-to-stock, order-to-ship, and outbound shipping performance Improve ASRS uptime, throughput, system utilization, loading accuracy, and warehouse productivity Lead labor planning, staffing, budget management, capital projects, and automation improvement initiatives Maintain a safety-first, food-safety-focused, audit-ready warehouse culture Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, GMP, SQF, food defense, and internal food safety requirements Build and develop a high-performing warehouse leadership team focused on accountability, engagement, safety, and continuous improvementRequirements Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or related field 7+ years of progressive warehouse/distribution leadership experience At least 2 years in a Director-level or senior warehouse leadership role Required experience in food manufacturing or food distribution Required hands-on leadership experience with Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS), specifically high-bay automated crane systems Strong WMS, ERP, inventory control, FIFO, and warehouse automation experience Experience leading large 24/7 multi-shift warehouse operations Experience managing exempt and non-exempt warehouse teams Strong understanding of food safety, GMP, FDA, SQF, OSHA, and audit-ready warehouse practices Experience with labor planning, budgeting, forecasting, KPIs, throughput, inventory accuracy, shipping accuracy, and operational cost management Experience partnering cross-functionally with manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, IT, transportation, quality, and supply chain
