Job description

  • Assist the Quality Assurance Manager in preparing and obtaining annual SQF certification for the facility
  • Coordinate, and verify the implementation of SQF programs, including all supporting documentation, annual review of programs for SQF and FDA compliance, and continual monitoring of production for compliance
  • Assist the QA Manager in validating the effectiveness of the food safety plan(s) (HACCP and FDA Preventive Controls) and the following pre-requisite programs (Employee Hygiene and Practices (GMPs); Pest Control program; Preventive Maintenance program; Equipment Calibration program; Sanitation program; Waste Management program and Employee Training Program),
  • Work directly with production management, supervisors, and hourly personnel to ensure implementation of SQF program
  • Communicate the Food Quality information to management to ensure that the system is effective
  • Maintain database for packaging material, ingredients and finished produced
  • Request and review documents from vendors/suppliers
  • Maintain document control
  • Review food safety documents
  • Assist in training team members in all areas of the plant, including SQF, Food Safety/Quality, HACCP, GMP, SOP, etc.
  • Support QA Lab team with on-the-job tasks and GMP/food safety/quality issue resolution,
  • Conduct random direct observations to verify HACCP and SOPs are being performed correctly and paperwork is complete and accurate,
  • Review and trend data to identify opportunities for improvement and corrective actions
  • Related duties as assigned

Compensation range: $30-$33 hourly
