Role Overview

The Director, GTM Engineering is a senior leadership position within UKG's Digital group, reporting to the Vice President of GTM Product Experience. The role is responsible for leading engineering teams delivering Salesforce-based GTM solutions, AI-powered business capabilities, enterprise web applications, and digital customer experiences. This leader will drive innovation across Sales, Marketing, Digital Commerce, and Product organizations by building scalable, secure, customer‑centric platforms that accelerate business growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by example in reinforcing company values and culture while building high‑performing global engineering teams.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, Digital Experience, and Services organizations.
  • Lead geographically distributed teams delivering world‑class GTM platforms, enterprise web applications, and customer‑facing digital solutions.
  • Drive AI‑enabled modernization of GTM systems, digital commerce platforms, and marketing workflows.
  • Design and deliver self‑service portals, customer web applications, and digital commerce capabilities that improve user experience and business outcomes.
  • Lead engineering for digital commerce initiatives including product catalog, pricing, promotions, ordering, customer portals, and API integrations.
  • Partner with Marketing teams to build and integrate CRM, CMS, marketing automation, customer data platforms (CDP), analytics, personalization, and campaign management solutions.
  • Improve customer acquisition, engagement, conversion, and retention through data‑driven digital experiences, experimentation, and analytics.
  • Automate seller workflows, approvals, quoting, ordering, and deal execution using AI and intelligent automation.
  • Collaborate with AI, data, and platform teams to deliver secure, scalable AI‑powered solutions.
  • Oversee product delivery from strategy and architecture through implementation, release, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain deep expertise in enterprise SaaS, Salesforce, cloud‑native architecture, APIs, and Agile delivery.
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of enterprise software engineering experience with 10+ years leading global engineering teams.
  • 3+ years in a Director‑level engineering leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience delivering Salesforce implementations including Salesforce Einstein and Agentforce.
  • Experience leading engineering for digital commerce/e‑commerce platforms and customer‑facing web applications.
  • Knowledge of marketing technology ecosystems including CRM, CMS, marketing automation, personalization, analytics, and customer journey platforms.
  • Experience integrating enterprise applications using APIs, microservices, cloud technologies, and event‑driven architectures.
  • Strong understanding of customer experience (CX), digital transformation, omnichannel engagement, and web application delivery.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and modern software engineering practices.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and organizational change management skills.
Benefits & Compensation

The pay range for this position is $163,900.00 to $235,550.00. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job‑related knowledge and work location. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible to participate in a performance‑based bonus plan and to receive restricted stock unit awards as part of total compensation.
