Job description

SAIC is seeking an experience Software Engineer to join their System Software Lifecycle Engineering team in Huntsville, AL. 

The Software Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:

  • Designing, developing, documenting, testing, and troubleshooting application software
  • Performs in-depth analysis and works closely with subject matter experts to assist with the planning, design, development, and application of electronic data processing systems. These systems may be used for tasks such as data storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting
  • Develops software solutions that include specialized, customized, or commercial applications tailored to user needs
  • Identifies user requirements and evaluates system capabilities to address issues with program intent, desired outputs, input data handling, programming methods, and operational controls
  • Authors operating instructions and creates autonomous services, desktop applications, web platforms, scripts, and utility tools to meet project demands
  • Ensures all developed software adheres to required standards

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree and two (2) years' experience; additional four (4) years' experience can be considered in lieu of degree

Required Clearance: 

  • Must possess an active Secret security clearance with the ability to maintain; US Citizenship required
