We are seeking Test Engineer to join our Physical Sciences & Systems business unit located a stone's throw from seaside Newport, Rhode Island. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to execution of test plans for Linux & VxWorks software development efforts, hardware & software integration efforts, and test planning and development.
The ideal candidate enjoys in a multi-disciplinary role and is comfortable adapting to and identifying new technologies as needed.
What you Will Do:
  • Develop test plans, test procedures, and test tools for multiple programs.
  • Perform testing of both HW and SW systems, isolate failures, and propose solutions.
  • Interface with DoD clients executing formal sell-off test events and integration test periods.
  • Work closely with development teams when bugs are identified to track and resolve issues.
  • Requirements tracking and verification.
  • This position may require some amount of overnight travel.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • Test execution experience in software environments, and documentation of test results Experience with test tracking software tools.

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience and knowledge of software development in C.
  • Experience working with embedded systems.
  • Experience with Atlassian toolset (i.e. Jira and Confluence).
  • Experience in QA or configuration management.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
