The Sheraton Hotel of Eatontown is seeking candidates for the position of Catering Sales Director to join our award-winning team. The Catering Sales Director is responsible for overseeing the Catering Office and driving sales to meet annual revenue goals. This role performs duties related to guest and hotel communications, hosting property tours, organize scheduling, set up, and successful execution of catered events etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • · Meet with prospecting new clients as well as keeping good rapport with existing clients
  • · Upsell clients and improve efficiency of food and beverage options
  • · Answer calls, respond to emails, and handle all customer inquiries in a professional manner
  • · Manages calendars and arranges appointments
  • · Conduct food and beverage meetings to ensure timely and effective communication with the banquet team
  • · Communicate with third party vendors and external suppliers to ensure inventory is stocked
  • · Provide effective leadership, direction, instruction, and guidance

Compensation and Benefits include:

  • This position offers a starting wage that ranges from $50,000 to $60,000 annually depending on qualifications and experience.
  • Full time employees will have the opportunity to earn paid time-off and join the company's health, dental, vision, and retirement plans (once qualified).
Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality (preferred)

· 1 to 2 years of sales experience in a hotel, resort, or catering venue

· Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

· Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

· Proficient in event sales software a plus

· Customer Service oriented

· Negotiation skills

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel

· High level of enthusiasm and creativity

· Strong interpersonal skills
