Samaritan Health Services has an opportunity for a Family Medicine Residency Associate Program Director

Samaritan Health Services is seeking an Associate Program Director (APD) to join its Family Medicine Residency Program in Corvallis, Oregon. This leadership role works closely with the Program Director to support resident education, faculty development, and overall program excellence while maintaining a limited clinical practice.

Position Overview

70% Academic and Leadership Responsibilities | 30% Clinical Practice

Academic and Administrative Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Program Director to ensure ACGME accreditation compliance and program quality
  • Oversee resident assessment, evaluation processes, and semiannual reviews
  • Support curriculum development, didactics, and resident scholarly activity
  • Participate in resident recruitment, application review, and interview processes
  • Provide mentorship and support faculty development initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Designated Institutional Official (DIO) and Graduate Medical Education (GME) leadership

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Maintain a continuity patient panel in outpatient family medicine
  • Optional inpatient and/or obstetric coverage based on interest and experience
  • Utilize EPIC electronic medical record system
  • Phone call only with nurse triage support

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
  • Minimum of five years of experience teaching residents or medical students
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Strong commitment to evidencebased, teamoriented patient care
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
