You will work from your home office, utilizing telehealth technology to connect with clients from various locations. Although primarily virtual, our organization has recently designed modern offices to facilitate in-person sessions when needed, ensuring you have access to the latest digital technology and administrative support.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Samaritan Behavioral Health, you will:

• Conduct thorough assessments with individuals and families, understanding their unique situations and therapeutic needs.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to meet the specific challenges of each client.
• Facilitate joint sessions with couples while also providing individual therapy when necessary, ensuring comprehensive care.
• Address a wide range of issues, including alcohol abuse, physical and psychological abuse, grief, job stress, medical issues, and family conflicts.
• Utilize telemedicine platforms for virtual therapy sessions, ensuring accessibility for clients in need.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans that support the overall mental health of clients.
• Stay updated on best practices and new methodologies in the field of marriage and family therapy to enhance clinical outcomes.

Your patient population will span adults, children, and adolescents, allowing you to apply your expertise across various age groups and family dynamics. You will engage with clients dealing with complex issues such as separation and divorce, blended family challenges, communication difficulties, and adjustments to life changes, ensuring that each individual receives personalized and effective care.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related mental health field.
• A strong commitment to providing high-quality mental health care and a passion for helping others.

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in specific areas such as addiction treatment, family therapy, or trauma-informed care will be given preference. Flexibility in schedule is crucial, as the role may require 30+ hours of patient engagement weekly, including evening and weekend availability as necessary.
