Compensation

The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $73,400.00 - $122,300.00. This role is eligible for an incentive target of up to 5 %, based on the achievement of individual and company performance objectives in accordance with the current terms of the incentive program which are subject to change.

Position Details

The Solutions Engineer (RPA) designs, develops, tests, implements, and supports automation solutions that improve business processes across multiple systems and applications. The role partners with business stakeholders to understand automation opportunities, translate requirements into scalable solution designs, and deliver robotic process automation, low-code applications, and orchestrated workflows. The position applies working knowledge of automation platforms, scripting concepts, artificial intelligence-enabled tools, and control room operations to improve process efficiency, reliability, and user experience. The role contributes to automation standards, reusable components, and delivery practices under general guidance to support scalable and maintainable solutions. This position works hybrid 2-3 days per week from one of the following offices: Lake Forest, IL, downtown Chicago, IL, or Janesville WI.


You Will

  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify, clarify, and prioritize automation opportunities by assessing business processes, expected outcomes, system dependencies, and operational needs.
  • Define technical, operational, and user requirements and translate them into practical automation solution designs, reusable components, workflows, and documentation aligned to business requirements.
  • Design, develop, test, implement, and document automation solutions, including robotic process automation bots, low-code applications, and orchestrated workflows that interact with multiple systems and applications.
  • Apply robotic process automation, low-code, AI-enabled workflow, machine learning, and agent-based automation concepts to simplify processes, improve efficiency, and support scalable business operations.
  • Deliver automation solutions through development, testing, deployment, stabilization, and optimization activities while addressing performance, reliability, maintainability, and operational stability requirements.
  • Apply and contribute to automation standards, frameworks, governance practices, and reusable development approaches to support scalable, maintainable, and consistent automation delivery.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools to support solution design, code development, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement of automation delivery processes.
  • Monitor and support automation scheduling and control room operations, including performance tracking, issue troubleshooting, schedule coordination, stakeholder communication, and production support.


You Have

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field required
  • 2+ years in automation development, application development, or related technical field required
  • None designing and implementing automation solutions across multiple systems or business processes preferred
  • Knowledge of robotic process automation platforms, low-code platforms, workflow automation tools, and related development practices, including Microsoft Power Platform, Blue Prism, Alteryx, or comparable technologies.
  • Experience using programming, scripting, data, or application development languages and tools such as SQL, Python, .NET, Java, or equivalent technologies to build or support automation solutions.
  • Experience analyzing business processes, documenting requirements, translating stakeholder needs into technical designs, and developing solutions that improve process efficiency, reliability, and user experience.
  • Knowledge of automation lifecycle practices, including solution design, testing, deployment, documentation, monitoring, troubleshooting, control room support, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience applying AI-enabled tools, intelligent workflows, machine learning concepts, or agent-based automation concepts to improve solution development, documentation, testing, or business process outcomes.
  • RPA platform certification or relevant automation/low-code certification preferred
