Job description

Are you passionate about transforming healthcare finance through innovation and AI? Amazon is seeking a Revenue Cycle manager to own the strategy and performance of the end-to-end revenue cycle for One Medical's Senior Health line of business. In this role, you'll drive meaningful impact by improving net collections, accelerating free cash flow, and strengthening regulatory compliance under Medicare and Medicare Advantage reimbursement models-all while raising the bar on the member financial experience.
This role is unique because success is defined not by managing transactional volume, but by diving deep to identify root causes of defects, eliminating unnecessary work through upstream fixes and simplification, and deploying AI to scale team impact. You'll work at the intersection of healthcare finance, regulatory compliance, and technology to solve complex challenges that directly improve both business performance and patient outcomes.
Key job responsibilities
- Own the strategy and financial performance of the Senior Health revenue cycle end-to-end, with accountability for net collection rate, aged accounts receivable, bad debt, and free cash flow under Medicare and Medicare Advantage reimbursement models
- Dive deep to identify root causes of claim and payment defects, distinguish symptoms from systemic issues, and prioritize the highest-value defects for resolution by partnering with clinical and revenue cycle teams to implement upstream fixes
- Redesign revenue cycle workflows by challenging every step in existing processes, eliminating work that does not add value, and simplifying processes to be faster, more compliant, and more efficient
- Deploy AI and automation as primary levers to scale operations-using AI to detect defect patterns, surface risk, generate operational insights, and reduce manual effort without adding headcount
- Partner with Compliance, Legal, and Clinical leaders to set and uphold compliance standards for Medicare and Medicare Advantage, including Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) risk-adjustment coding accuracy and documentation integrity
About the team
The Healthcare FinOps (HFO) team provides centralized revenue cycle management support for Amazon Health Services, owning end-to-end billing and collections operations across our health business lines. We manage the full claims lifecycle-from charge capture and coding through denial management and payment posting-partnering with healthcare technology vendors to build automation, improve first-pass resolution rates, and scale efficiently.
Our team is building the future of healthcare finance by combining deep operational expertise with innovative technology solutions. We foster a culture of continuous improvement, where every team member is empowered to challenge the status quo, simplify complexity, and drive measurable impact for our patients and business.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field, or experience in accounts receivable or account payable
- 5+ years of finance experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of finance experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
- 2+ years of Medicare and Medicare Advantage experience
- 5+ years of healthcare revenue cycle experience in a hospital or physician provider setting
