Job description

Role & Responsibilities:
• Position is located in a manufacturing plant.
• Assists in the monitoring and execution of the Engineering Department and Plant safety programs.
• Fulfills Project Manager role in preparing and following to completion all assigned Capital Authorities and Job Sheet requests.
• Utilizes technical training to advise on and design various process improvements as required by the operating department.
• Assists Engineering Department supervision on routine maintenance assignments and follow-ups required for daily operations.
• Assists the Engineering Manager in planning and implementing routine and non-routine maintenance expenditures.
• Exposure to direct supervision involving plant engineering crews as well as outside contractors.
• This position is designed to provide the incumbent with manufacturing exposure for positions of greater responsibility.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in Engineering required.
• Prior full-time or co-op/intern experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred. • Proficient computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office, Drafting etc.)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
• Must be a self-starter, detailed-oriented, and have the ability to work both independently and within a team to meet deadlines.

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
