Project Manager – Capital Equipment Installation / Industrial Construction

A local company with a facility in the Greater Detroit, Michigan area is currently seeking several Capital Equipment Installation Project Managers for Direct Hire opportunities with their growing team. These are exciting opportunities for Project Managers looking for a company that offers excellent growth, competitive compensation, strong bonus potential, and excellent benefits.

Local candidates are preferred; however, relocation assistance may be available for well qualified candidates.

Project Manager salaries are anticipated to be based on each candidate’s experience and education. All well qualified candidates will be considered regardless of pay rate.

Qualified Project Managers will possess most, if not all, of the following skills and experience:

• 5+ years of recent / relevant experience managing large-scale capital equipment installation, industrial construction, or industrial fabrication projects
• 5+ years of recent / relevant experience managing project schedules, budgets, scopes of work, estimating, and installation costs is highly preferred
• Experience with large-scale installation projects involving capital equipment, industrial machinery, industrial HVAC, large tanks, processing piping, and similar systems
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication (10 or 12 gauge), welding techniques, ironworking, pipefitting, and millwright leadership is highly desirable
• Experience overseeing both union and non-union trades throughout the life of a project
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, rental equipment costs, subcontractors, and installation teams
• Experience developing and managing project schedules, scopes of work, and estimating for industrial fabrication and installation projects
• Must be able to travel as needed to support project sites and installation activities
• A BS degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred but not essential. Equivalent combinations of an Associate degree, industrial construction experience, and project management experience will be strongly considered
• Must be able to work in the United States (no H-1 sponsorship or student visas)
• Must be able to complete standard pre-hire checks including background check, drug screen, and references
