We are seeking caring, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our team as Direct Services Providers.
Position Summary
As a Direct Services Provider (DSP), you will provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and throughout the community. You will help individuals build independence, achieve personal goals, and participate in everyday activities while ensuring their health, safety, and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Provide person-centered support based on each individual's service plan.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including personal care, hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation as needed.
- Support individuals with community integration, recreational activities, employment, and appointments.
- Provide transportation using company or approved personal vehicles.
- Administer medications according to company policy and state regulations (training provided if needed).
- Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
- Encourage independence while promoting choice, dignity, and respect.
- Maintain effective communication with supervisors, guardians, case managers, and healthcare professionals.
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and state regulations.
- Respond appropriately during emergencies and report incidents promptly.
Qualifications
Required:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a federal and state criminal background check.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with mobility when needed.
Preferred:
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
- CPR/First Aid Certification.
- Medication Administration Certification.
- Previous experience as a DSP, CNA, PCA, caregiver, behavioral health technician, or in a related field.
Schedule
- Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities available.
