Job description

The Project Accountant is responsible for completing pay applications and assisting with billing. This person will work in direct support of the Accounting Manager.

Essential Functions

  • Assist with billing, specifically in regard to Locklear/Rogers projects 
  • Reconcile jobs 
  • Change order research and help get change orders for all salesmen
  • Proper project close out
  • Comsense reports, cleaning up WIP and sales orders 
  • Research back charges, missing material, change orders, etc.
  • Other relative duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates’ degree, or an equivalent combination of education/experience
  • Experience in both construction and accounting related positions preferred
  • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills required
  • Strong working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products specifically Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are also critical
