About the role:

As a Director New Product Introduction you will provide manufacturing leadership in major product and process development programs. This program and portfolio management group will summarize and track the portfolio of new product requests and drive all critical path deliverables owned by workstream leaders throughout the stage-gated development process as it relates to manufacturing. This will require providing leadership and influence in a matrixed context and regular interface with key stakeholders across the organization at all levels.

You will report to the Senior Director, Fuel Manufacturing Services. You will support this role 100% remotely. We require global travel for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of project managers and leaders in delivering new product introduction projects and guide project execution to achieve on-time delivery of quality products to our customers while meeting safety and financial goals.
  • Build the organization and alliances necessary to provide direction to critical path management of select programs including commercial, licensing, regulatory, product and material design, supply chain, SIOP, transportation and manufacturing.
  • Build partnerships and alignment with Fuel Engineering, Product Delivery and Commercial managers, Supply Chain, SIOP, Plant leaders, Quality, Supplier and Customer teams on project deliverables, issues, risks and resolution. Direct collaboration with and between these groups.
  • Direct improvements to new product introduction practices and systems. Influence stage gated processes applying best practices such as APQP and PPAP.
  • Develop improved processes for risk identification, management and mitigation, and change management and control, to prevent programs from going off-track.
  • Drive standards based on industry best practices of how projects are structured, reported and tracked.
  • Develop dashboards and communication tools which convey new project industrialization requests, timelines and status.
  • Support and Consult related to the manufacturing aspects for customer offer development
  • Identify needs for capital investment and collaborate with the Global Capital Expenditures group, product and manufacturing teams to create business cases and achieve investment authorization.
  • Provide Global Manufacturing functional lead within the Flawless Launch process and facilitate progression through project phases, ensuring all stage gate criteria are known and achieved.
  • Build a world-class team; recruit, develop, engage and retain talent.
  • Metrics Accountability - Safety & EHS, Delivery, Quality, Cost, Cost Out, Skills Deployment, Employee Engagement, Corrective Action Completion.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
  • Minimum 10 years in operations, engineering, quality, or program management with demonstrated experience in manufacturing process development and optimization. Minimum 2 years of experience in the nuclear or related energy industry.
  • Certified Six-Sigma Black Belt or Certified Manufacturing Engineer (SME CMfgE) or PMI certification.
  • Program Management, Problem Solving, Continuous Improvement, Manufacturing, Quality Systems, Digital and Automation technology.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $162,000 to $202,500 per year. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
