Title: Sales Development Representative
Payroll Title: Sales Development Representative
Division & Department: Enterprise Sales
Status: Full-Time Exempt
Reports to: Sales Development Manager
Location: Hybrid Draper, UT (Anticipated 3+ days in office)
Compensation: Anticipated compensation for this position is an OTE of $76-77k* split 80/20 between salary/commission.

Job Summary

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will establish relationships with potential customers through the early stages of their buyer journey. You will identify, educate, and qualify potential leads to generate new business opportunities that drive revenue growth. With a customer first mentality this role requires active listening, quick thinking, and a growth mentality to address customer needs and build meaningful interactions that showcase FranklinCoveys unique value proposition. This includes target market penetration, cold calling on CXOs, senior-level executives, following up on marketing-generated leads, webinar and event follow-up, and more.

Essential Job Functions

  • Raise awareness and generate interest for FranklinCovey through multi-touch cold calling, emails, and social outreach to prospective customers
  • Educate prospects in FranklinCoveys products, building high-level business cases that tie FranklinCoveys solutions to customer goals and initiatives
  • Identify buyer potential utilizing a defined qualification framework
  • Schedule initial discovery calls for Account Executives
  • Meet or exceed assigned daily activity minimums of 80-100 activities
  • Manage your own book of accounts and set the strategy for effective book management
  • Provide constructive feedback on how to improve effectiveness and efficiency within the SDR role to SDR Managers and Sales Enablement
  • Collaborate with team members to share and learn from best practices

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • 2+ years of experience in an inside sales position

Preferred Skill & Experience

  • 2+ years of experience making outbound/cold-calls
  • Ability to ask insightful questions and a keenness for problem-solving across multiple channels.
  • You have a high degree of resilience, enabling you to bounce back from setbacks.
  • You possess a player mindset; you strive to grow and develop and never back down from a challenge.
  • You are a powerful storyteller with the ability to clearly and confidently convey business value across key customers.
  • Your work ethic is unmatched- you are self-motivated and know how to utilize your resources and initiative to overcome challenges.
  • You're extremely coachable and willing to receive and implement feedback.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Salesforce, Clari/Groove, Gong, and SalesNavigator.
