Job Summary:
The Director, Physician Practice is responsible for the administrative oversight of the Ambulatory Services Division; which consists of all hospital owned or managed physician practices. Plays a key role in leading performance transformation and strategy development, advancing physician relations and expanding clinical services, and developing and implementing strategic growth initiatives that are competitive in a value-based and population health management environment. Identifies and explores opportunities consistent with such initiatives, collaborating closely with a number of individuals and departments within the organization, including but not limited to the executive leadership team, service line leaders, and physicians, Physician Practice Management, Marketing and Finance. Includes developing and implementing strategies to increase collaboration and alignment of HMNH and the physician community to drive growth and improved performance.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
  • Demonstrated knowledge in growing and developing provider affiliation models within a health system preferred.
  • Ability to lead process change efforts related to the implementation and use of the systems such as Lean Process Improvement desired.
  • Skill and knowledge in developing and implementing operating plans and analyzing financial and quality data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to drive/execute business plans
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills; with the ability to build strong relationships, and earn the respect, confidence and credibility of peers and team members.

Licensure and Certification:
  • FACHE, FACMPE, or advanced physician practice management certification preferred.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree required in business, health administration, or related field Master's Degree preferred.

Experience:
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience overseeing a multi-physician practice organization preferably owned or managed by a hospital or hospital system.
  • Experience managing quality management programs and/or clinical integration, and care coordination preferred.
  • Strong coaching and supervision experience.
