Job Duties and Responsibilities

Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview, which may include a live whiteboarding or technical assessment session.

As the IT Manager III for the Eventing team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a highly skilled group of technical team members focused on building event-driven systems.  You will solve the challenge of scaling complex retail wireless technologies while maintaining a high-performance engineering culture. 

What Success Looks Like (Objectives)

  • Cultivating a high-performing engineering culture through active mentorship, goal setting, and technical guidance for a team of developers

  • Integrating AI-driven automation tools within the development lifecycle to enhance code quality, identify technical gaps, and maintain high delivery velocity

  • Be a champion of engineering standards and best practices

  • Lead the team as they develop new product services while ensuring high-quality, timely delivery

  • Manage capacity planning, prioritization, status reporting, and road mapping to deliver results on time and budget

  • Direct the design and development of distributed, event-driven cloud-based solutions

  • Guide solution design and development of RESTful APIs in collaboration with Architects and team leads

  • Drive continuous improvement through solution reviews, automation initiatives, code and design standards, and robust logging/monitoring practices

  • Partner with Product Managers/Owners to define specifications, align requirements with business goals, and contribute to agile team activities

  • Ensure product stability by overseeing the troubleshooting of event-driven systems and microservice/API issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing long-term solutions

  • Collaborate with BSS/OSS SMEs, Tech Ops, and Care Ops to ensure seamless system integration and support

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum Experience: 3+ years of experience in a technical management role; 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in software development

  • Required Technical Skills:

    • Extensive experience in software development and best practices
    • Java/J2EE, Spring/SpringBoot, or Python

    • Experience designing and managing distributed event-driven systems, RESTful APIs, and microservices deployed in AWS or other cloud platforms

    • SDLC management and Agile delivery

Compensation: $110,100.00/Year - $157,300.00/Year
