Position Summary
Senior Director of Treasury Operations

The Senior Director of Treasury Operations is a senior finance leader responsible for defining and executing Orlando Health's enterprise-wide treasury operations and strategy, including liquidity management, capital planning support, banking strategy and financial risk management.
This Senior Director partners closely with executive leadership to optimize the organization's capital structure, ensure financial resilience, and support strategic growth initiatives, while leading the transformation of treasury operations, systems, and controls across a complex, multi-entity healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities
Liquidity and cash management
  • Define enterprise liquidity strategy, including minimum cash thresholds and contingency planning.
  • Oversee daily cash positioning, liquidity planning, and short and long-term cash flow forecasting.
  • Enhance scalability and operational efficiency across cash management processes; lead cash management best-practice initiatives to improve earnings and maximize cost savings.

Capital structure, debt, and financing
  • Support capital structure and financing strategy in partnership with executive leadership; serve as treasury lead for mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and capital initiatives.
  • Oversee debt covenant compliance, liquidity metrics, and coordination with accounting and tax teams.
  • Lead engagement with banks, trustees, rating agencies, and key financial partners.

Banking relationships and account administration
  • Manage banking, trustee, and financial institution relationships, including negotiation of banking, investment, and merchant services agreements.
  • Oversee online banking platforms and related administration as the banking system administrator.

Risk management, controls, and governance
  • Own the enterprise financial risk framework, including interest rate, counterparty, and fraud risk.
  • Establish and enforce treasury policies, procedures, governance standards, internal controls, compliance practices, and business continuity plans; partner with internal and external auditors.
  • Oversee month-end close activities for treasury-related accounts, ensuring timely reporting, reconciliations, and required journal entries in compliance with established policies and procedures.

Technology, transformation, and analytics
  • Lead treasury transformation initiatives, including ERP integration, process automation, and implementation/optimization of treasury management systems to improve visibility and controls.
  • Establish and monitor key performance metrics (e.g., liquidity targets, cash yield optimization, bank fee reduction, forecasting accuracy, and automation adoption).

Leadership and cross-functional partnership
  • Provide strategic leadership for enterprise-wide treasury operations across all hospitals, subsidiaries, joint ventures, and affiliated entities.
  • Provide leadership over treasury operations through oversight of managers and senior professionals; establish structure, performance expectations, and succession planning for the treasury function.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives across Finance, Revenue Cycle, FP&A, and IT to enable strategic growth and operational resilience.

Qualifications
Education
  • Master's degree required.
  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required.

Experience
  • Minimum of eight (8) years experience in cash management, accounting, finance, or treasury required.
  • Experience in a large health system, or other complex multi-entity environment strongly preferred.
