Job description

Job Description Our client is a well-established real estate company looking for a detail-oriented Property Accountant to manage the financials for a portfolio of individual properties. You'll own the monthly close process, cash reconciliations, and financial reporting for 5-8 properties while working closely with property managers and operations teams. If you have a solid property accounting background and like having real ownership over your portfolio, this is a great opportunity.

This role requires working in office several days per week. Responsibilities: Prepare and complete monthly operating financial statements for a portfolio of properties, including cash tracking, bank reconciliations, and monitoring of critical expenses Calculate, record, and monitor key accruals and prepaid expenses; maintain accurate general ledger records within property management accounting software Work closely with Property Managers to provide financial reporting support and resolve accounting issues through pre-close and close activities Support audits, internal reviews, and management inquiries as needed Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 4-6 years of property management accounting experience Working knowledge of property management accounting software Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
