SUMMARY: As the Assistant Director of Nursing, the candidate will work under the supervision of the Director of Nursing to oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring that all staff adhere to established policies and procedures. The ADON will be responsible for managing nursing staff, coordinating patient care, and implementing quality improvement initiatives. Additionally, the ADON will play a key role in staff development, including training and mentoring new nurses. The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals. The ADON should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously. A strong understanding of healthcare regulations and best practices is essential to meet the Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) standards, and the Joint Commission (JC) standards.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing. Associate's degree in Nursing with three years of nursing experience will substitute for the BSN.
  2. ASN/BSN graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  3. Minimum of a valid Registered Nurse license.
  4. Minimum of four years of related experience.
  5. Must possess at least 1 year of clinical supervisory experience.
  6. Valid CPR license.
  7. Demonstrated ability to learn using Electronic Health Records; must have strong computer skills.
