About Us
Gerena Food Management Corporation operates multiple McDonald's franchise locations, including operations within a U.S. Navy base. We are committed to operational excellence, food safety, and delivering the highest standards of the McDonald's brand across all our locations.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to lead and oversee the operational performance of our McDonald's franchise portfolio. This is a salaried position offering competitive pay and benefits. The Director of Operations will be responsible for the financial health of the organization, compliance with McDonald's corporate standards, food safety regulations, and the development of our leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
Financial & Operational Performance
  • Monitor the overall financial health of the organization, with direct ownership of Profit & Loss (P&L) statements across all locations
  • Track and manage key performance targets including food cost and labor costs to maximize profitability
  • Analyze financial reports and operational metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas requiring corrective action
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve company-wide financial and operational goals

Leadership & Team Development
  • Directly supervise and mentor two (2) Supervisors and collaborate with one PEL Deployment Manager to coordinate company goals and targets
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and performance management to General Managers (GMs) across all locations
  • Oversee and support the Facilities Team responsible for company maintenance, equipment upkeep, and capital project coordination
  • Ensure effective training programs are in place and executed to maintain operational standards and develop internal talent

Corporate & Vendor Relations
  • Serve as the primary liaison with McDonald's Corporate staff, maintaining strong working relationships and ensuring brand compliance
  • Coordinate and lead preparations for McDonald's Corporate inspections and evaluations
  • Manage communications and coordinate inspections with outside food safety vendors
  • Ensure readiness and compliance for local Health Department inspections across all locations

Communication & Meetings
  • Conduct biweekly meetings with General Managers and Supervisors at the company office to drive effective communication, alignment on company objectives, and operational consistency
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between operations, facilities, and corporate support teams

Qualifications
Required
  • Proven experience in multi-unit restaurant or food service operations management
  • Strong financial acumen with demonstrated experience managing P&Ls, food costs, and labor metrics
  • Excellent leadership and team development skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and health code compliance
  • Ability to pass a federal background check to obtain access credentials for operations within the U.S. Navy base

Preferred
  • Prior experience with McDonald's franchise operations or QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) management
  • Familiarity with McDonald's corporate standards, inspections, and operational systems
  • Experience working within federal or military installation environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
