Location: On-Site (Indianapolis Headquarters)
FLSA Status: Full-Time, Exempt
About the role:
The primary function of the Director of Operations is to provide leadership and practical, hands-on support across PreBorn!'s operational functions, specifically in Administrative, Logistics and Facility Operations. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in leading operational compliance, process development, cross-functional project support and building/facility management. This role ensures that operational systems scale effectively as the ministry grows.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations Leadership + Hands-On Support
  • Lead Operations teams while actively participating in solving day-to-day operational challenges.
  • Support departments directly during workload spikes.
  • Build repeatable systems and work alongside staff to implement them.
  • Partner with IT, Software Development, and Reporting on operational readiness.

2. Facilities Oversight (Not Execution)
  • Supervise the Building Manager.
  • Approve facility budgets, vendor strategy, and improvement plans.
  • Oversee compliance and building readiness reports.

3. Logistics Oversight + Participation
  • Oversee logistics systems for shipments, equipment distribution, and purchasing.
  • Participate hands-on when necessary.
  • Build forecasting models for ministry-wide needs.

4. Administrative Operations Leadership
  • Supervise the Office Manager
  • Lead administrative support functions.
  • Build workflows, SOPs, and templates.
  • Step in during peak periods to ensure operational continuity.

5. Vendor & Contract Strategy + Support
  • Lead contract negotiations and stewardship.
  • Establish SLAs and vendor scorecards.
  • Support escalation issues.

6. Operational Compliance Leadership + Oversight
  • Develop and implement Safety Plans, Emergency Plans, and policy frameworks.
  • Build compliance tools and documentation.
  • Delegate execution to appropriate Ops staff.

7. Cross-Department Project Leadership
  • Lead and participate in operational components of major initiatives.
  • Coordinate timelines, risk logs, and implementation efforts.

8. Team Leadership
  • Provide mentoring, accountability, and direction for Operations staff.
  • Model operational excellence and pace.
  • Build a spiritually grounded and service-oriented culture.
