The Electrical Superintendent provides high-level field leadership for heavy commercial and industrial projects, focusing on QA/QC, safety enforcement, and the professional development of field crews. Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled site visits to conduct QA/QC inspections, ensuring equipment and materials meet project requirements and as-built accuracy.
- Adhere to and enforce safety protocols and promote onsite hazard awareness to maintain a zero-incident environment.
- Implement and enforce company policies regarding human resources, jobsite documentation, and project execution.
- Provide general support and guidance to General Foremen and Project Foremen as needed for operational success.
- Manage labor tracking for field personnel and assess individual job performance, qualifications, and compensation evaluations.
- Coordinate the mobilization, setup, and transfer of tools and equipment for new and recently completed projects.
- Oversee fleet vehicle assignments and manage maintenance schedules for company vehicles.
- Promote core values and encourage field personnel to pursue electrical licensing and continuing education opportunities.
- Utilize working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and electrical theory to oversee complex equipment layouts and systems.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and electrical submittals to ensure project compliance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of electrical construction experience, specifically in heavy commercial or industrial environments.
- Proven ability to lead and manage field personnel, including performance evaluations and labor tracking.
- Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), electrical theory, and equipment layout.
- Proficiency in reading construction drawings, specifications, and technical electrical submittals.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project.
- Ability to adapt to various working environments and make decisions based on industry best practices.
- Must be able to pass a standard background check and a Government Background Check due to the nature of the job.
- Collaborative and solution-oriented approach when working with Project Management, Human Resources, and departmental Directors.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be aware of and comply with OSHA safety standards.
- Ability to work in environments with exposure to heights and loud noises.
- Frequent climbing of stairs and ladders to conduct site inspections.
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, and bending.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to operate a computer and mobile communication devices.
Pay Transparency:
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $91,520 to $142,480 annually, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
