Job Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Organizational Effectiveness, Leadership Development, and Engagement (OELDE), the Director of the Office of Institutional Engagement serves on the OELDE leadership team and provides leadership for campus-wide employee engagement programming, professional learning and development, organizational effectiveness, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The Director manages the operations of the office and works collaboratively across the OELDE portfolio to foster synergy throughout institutional priorities and multidivisional initiatives. The Director provides leadership for the Employee Engagement Survey administration and action planning, the eLearning platform for employees, the university's mentoring program, employee appreciation programming, and contributes to university-wide efforts in strategic planning, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness. The Director collaborates with colleagues in Human Resources, Information Technology, Academic Affairs, and other units to scale evidence-based efforts in alignment with Georgia Southern's mission and strategic plans.
The Director supervises full-time employees and may supervise, directly or indirectly, graduate assistants, student workers, practicum students, and/or interns.
Responsibilities

• Assist the Assistant Vice President with the coordination of strategic initiatives and work collaboratively across the OELDE portfolio
• Cultivate close working relationships with colleagues in Human Resources, Information Technology, and Academic Affairs to align and promote the services and programs of the office
• Provide direction and leadership for campus-wide employee engagement, professional development, and mentoring programs
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of the university's strategic plan, leadership scorecards, and continuous improvement efforts
• Collaborate with the Associate Vice President and Assistant Vice President in the planning and facilitation of Leadership Development Institutes and the university's annual report
• Lead the administration and continuous improvement of the university's eLearning platform, employee engagement survey, and mentoring program CRM
• Provide budgetary oversight and management of the operations of the office
• Hire, supervise, and train professional staff and provide support and development for all employees within the office
• Serve as a resource and collaborative partner to university departments on employee engagement, professional development, and organizational effectiveness practices
• Ensure office initiatives align with the university's mission, strategic plan, and Board of Regents policy while maintaining operational compliance and reporting standards

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements

• Master's Degree

Required Experience

• Three (3) or more years of related work experience
• Supervisory and leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications

• Terminal Degree

Preferred Experience

• Two (2) or more years as a manager, assistant director, associate director, or director in an office with similar work
• Experience in developing and managing campus-wide initiatives
• Experience working with senior-level administrators and confidential information

Proposed Salary
$70,000 - $75,000
This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
