Job description

As our Medical Laboratory Scientist, you will be instrumental in delivering accurate and timely diagnostic results that directly impact patient care. You will perform a diverse range of complex laboratory tests, ensuring the highest standards of quality, precision, and efficiency, and contribute significantly to critical healthcare decisions within our state-of-the-art facility.
Every day you will analyze biological specimens using advanced instrumentation and manual techniques across various disciplines, including Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, and Immunohematology. You will meticulously interpret and validate test results, ensuring their accuracy and correlation with clinical data, and diligently troubleshoot equipment and resolve technical issues to maintain continuous laboratory operations.
To be successful in this role, you will apply your in-depth knowledge of laboratory medicine to recognize abnormal results and critical values, promptly communicating findings to physicians and healthcare teams. Your commitment to continuous learning and professional development will be key as you maintain your ASCP certification and adapt to evolving laboratory technologies and methodologies.


Required

  • Associate’s Degree in a biological or chemical science as defined by CLIA OR High school diploma/GED and completed an official military medical laboratory course and held the military enlisted occupational speciality of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Lab Technician)

  • Must be appropriately trained in clinical laboratory science as judged by the Director of the Clinical Laboratory
  • Physical Demand Level: Medium

Preferred

  • MLT (ASCP) or equivalent certification
