JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

The Director, Equity Restaurants is responsible for leading the performance, operations, and overall health of Pizza Hut’s Equity Restaurant portfolio. This role sets the strategic direction for company-owned restaurants, ensuring strong in-restaurant execution, operational excellence, and sustained business performance.

This leader partners cross-functionally to align resources, drive accountability, and deliver results across sales, profitability, and team effectiveness—while building a high-performing field organization that consistently delivers a best-in-class customer and team member experience.



Scope & Impact

  • Leads a multi-region field organization, including Region Coaches and a cross-functional support team (HR, Finance, Operations, Facilities) 
  • Oversees performance across a portfolio of company-owned restaurants, with accountability for sales, profitability, and operational KPIs
  • Directly impacts in-restaurant execution, team effectiveness, and overall business performance across Equity locations 
  • Plays a key role in translating enterprise strategy into operational execution within the field 
  • Influences cross-functional prioritization and resource alignment to drive measurable business outcomes 
  • Serves as a critical leader in strengthening organizational capability, consistency, and accountability across the Equity system 


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Business Performance & Operational Excellence
  • Own end-to-end performance of Equity Restaurants, including sales, profitability, and operational KPIs 
  • Lead a team of Region Coaches and cross-functional partners to deliver strong in-restaurant execution 
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance and implement scalable solutions across the portfolio 
  • Ensure disciplined operational routines, standards, and accountability at all levels 


Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team

  • Directly lead Region Coaches and a cross-functional support team (HR, Finance, Operations, Facilities) 
  • Build leadership capability across the field organization, including Area Coaches and restaurant leaders 
  • Establish clear expectations, performance standards, and development plans 
  • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement 


Set Strategy & Align Cross-Functional Execution

  • Translate enterprise and Operations strategy into actionable plans for Equity Restaurants 
  • Partner with Marketing, Finance, Digital/Tech, HR, and other functions to ensure alignment and execution 
  • Prioritize initiatives that drive measurable impact on restaurant performance and team effectiveness 
  • Ensure effective communication and clarity of priorities across the organization


Strengthen In-Restaurant Execution

  • Champion operational rigor and consistency across all Equity locations 
  • Ensure teams are focused on delivering strong four-wall execution and customer experience 
  • Leverage data and insights to identify gaps and drive improvements in performance and execution 
  • Reinforce best practices and scale successful approaches across regions 


Optimize Organizational Effectiveness

  • Evaluate team structure, resourcing, and capabilities to support business needs 
  • Partner with People & Culture to drive talent planning, succession, and organizational design 
  • Ensure onboarding, training, and development programs effectively support field teams 
  • Lead change management efforts tied to operational improvements and organizational shifts

  • Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally and influence at senior levels 
  • Experience leading through change and driving organizational effectiveness
