Marine Corps University (MCU) / College of Distance Education and Training (CDET)
**This position is contingent upon contract award.**
Position Overview
Hatalom is seeking an Outreach and Marketing Specialist to support the Marine Corps University (MCU) College of Distance Education and Training (CDET). This position provides strategic communications, outreach, and marketing support to increase awareness of CDET programs, distance learning capabilities, and educational opportunities across the Marine Corps. The successful candidate will work directly with senior leadership, Regional Directors, and stakeholders to develop communication strategies, manage social media platforms, create outreach materials, and ensure consistent messaging across all CDET communications. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute outreach, marketing, and strategic communication initiatives.
  • Support communication efforts that promote CDET programs and distance learning capabilities.
  • Manage and maintain social media platforms, website content, and digital communications.
  • Develop written content, newsletters, articles, presentations, and marketing materials.
  • Support Regional Directors in the development and execution of regional outreach programs.
  • Advise leadership on communication strategies, customer engagement, and outreach initiatives.
  • Ensure consistent messaging, branding, and communication standards across all publications and platforms.
  • Track outreach activities, communication metrics, and related reporting requirements.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
  • Experience supporting senior military, government, or corporate leadership.
  • Experience developing communication, outreach, or marketing campaigns.
  • Experience managing social media platforms, websites, and digital communications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Creative Cloud.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense or military organizations.
  • Experience creating graphic design, multimedia, or video content.
  • Knowledge of Marine Corps education, training, or Professional Military Education programs.
  • Experience with stakeholder engagement and strategic communications planning.

Security Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Active Secret clearance (Tier 3 Investigation) required or ability to obtain and maintain one.
